2 college girls, one mom, 15 high school seniors, 7 pizzas, a pan of brownies, one very wound-up dog, and 5 hours of Pride and Prejudice=one awesome Saturday night :)
Kate and Olivia invited me over tonight to watch the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice with them. This is the 5 hour version (intended to be watched in 50-minute segments--we did all of it at once!) Olivia has to read it for school right now, so her and a bunch of friends wanted to watch it. For some of the boys, the only reason they wanted to watch it was because they're not actually going to read it haha
In the entire 5 hours of the movie, there were probably a total of 20 minutes of quiet when everyone was actually focusing on it. Other than that, the young'uns were talking and giggling and the boys were asking when something exciting was going to happen. (This isn't Saving Private Ryan, guys...) Kate and I had a great time though and were actually enjoying the movie, and it was so fun to spend time with her.
Also, I know lots of people don't love Pizza Hut's pizza, but after 3 weeks of rice and beans at every meal--as much as I do love them--pizza and brownies tasted delicious!!!
