Brrrrr

Welp, I'm back.  I've officially arrived back in Seattle and am writing from my cousin Emilie's house here.  I'm very tired, and it's very cold here...although I'm rather enjoying the prospect of being in my slippers and sweats, and snuggling into nice warm blankets.  I do love winter!

I am so excited to be home and looking forward to so much about it, especially seeing my parents and brother in a couple of days, but leaving was also hard.  I don't think that it dawns on many people that while here is definitely home, I also just lived there for a whole semester, and it's not easy to just pick up and leave somewhere you've put down roots, even if they're only temporary ones.  Am I glad to be home? Yes.  Is it a smooth, seamless transition? No.  Being here, I feel torn between here and there, just as I did when I was there.  I hope that people (friends, family, etc.) will be able to understand that at least a little bit...
